SR TECHNOLOGY
WHAT IS SR TECHNOLOGY? LET'S EXPLAIN IT IN SIMPLE WORDS.

The SR motor is based on the basics of switched reluctance (SR =  Switched Reluctance).
The stator is made in a very simple and solid way.
The rotor is built of several single steel sheets fitted on a shaft.
The motor works without any turning widings in the rotor and without permanent magnets.
No more carbon brushes nor manifolds are required.
Thereafter, the wear is very low, the eletrical output is high and the motor requires a little maintenance.
The construction of an SR motor also involves a saving of resources and raw materials as it is mainly made of steel and copper.

Compared to other types of engines, SR motors are distinguished in particular by their construction simplicity, robustness, reliability, low cost, high efficiency, easy heat removal, low moment of inertia and absence of eviromental constraints.

The switching (alternating current of the stator poles) is controlled by an electronic power board which receives the orders from  microcomputer that works as a brain. The acceleration when starting the motor and its rotation speed are constantly controlled by a sensor and by the electronics that keep the shaft rotation speed always under control even under stress. The start of the motor is slow and progressive and free from current absorption peaks that leads to a constant drilling with an increase in productivity. Moreover, drill bit wear is reduced and optimized thanks to the constant rotation, and efficiency increases considerably.
