Power density - Meaning of the technical term
Power density indicates the relation between the size of an engine and the power the motor can deliver.
It expresses the power/size ratio of a particular motor; in other words it is the amount of power that a given engine can manage per unit of volume.
In applications where sizes and weight are important factors, the power density of an engine is a critical measurement of its performances.
For this reason, this particular measure is important.
You will often find this term when talking about high efficiency equipment like CUTTRONIX systems.
